Use Roman shades for a room as the shade ascends and descends in evenly placed folds. There is a window treatment called a Roman window treatment that is a rectangle of fabric designed to dress up a window. These even folds are created by a window treatment called Roman shade. It is made from a series of fixtures like rings, cords, and horizontal battens. You'll notice that as the shade is lowered completely, it becomes a completely flat panel. There are some of these shades though that have slight folds highlighting each batten. It hangs from a support attached to the top of the window frame. The shade hangs within the window framework. This board can also be fastened above the window.
