Using Solar Shades
During the summer it is quite common to find curtains drawn or down. Some few years back, curtains came in different colors, sizes and styles and were commonly found in homes and even offices. Normally they were hung with hooks or rollers on lines that were found on the window sills. One could easily slide the curtains to regulate the amount of light in a room. At times the rollers could get stuck or the hooks came out of place. Nowadays, solar shades have become available and with a simple pull of a thread, one can have the shades rolled up.
The inventor of solar shades is not known. However the bamboo and wooden shades are said to have originated from the South of Asia. Solar shades are quickly replacing the use of curtains in almost every household. They are more affordable and easy to handle. They are commonly referred to as roller blinds or roll up shades. Most of them are made from material such as bamboo and vinyl, polyester or paper screen.
If one looks at history, it would be hard to locate who actually invented the solar shade. They have been around for at least 1000 years, as people used to hang tapestries and cloth over doorways and open windows. Back then, this was meant more as a means of privacy. Yet, the concept wasn’t Floyd by all social classes, both rich and poor. For example, bamboo shades hung in many spaces throughout Asia, not just Japan or China. Even now the spin blue shades are still quite popular, and not just in Asia.
In most homes, solar shades have become standard, and in many cases, they are quickly taking the place of curtains. Because they are so cost effective, they are still popular. many people still know them by another name like blackout shades. There are also other reasons why they are used. Some people need to keep out the sun at all costs, especially after coming home off of a night shift in need of sleep.
Regardless, anybody considering home interior decoration options should consider solar shades. After all, they also tend to be very durable and lasting very long time. Made from polyester or vinyl, they are also very easy to clean and maintain. Most homeowners will get their money’s worth rather quickly.
